Preparing for Surgery

Follow our pre-operative instructions carefully, including what to eat and drink before surgery and which medications to avoid. We recommend a residue free diet for a week prior to surgery

  • Preferably avoid any solid food one day before surgery
  • Arrange for transportation to and from the surgical centre in advance, as you may not be able to drive yourself home.
  • Prepare for a hospital stay or recovery at home, including arranging for help with childcare, household chores, and other responsibilities.

Once you reach the hospital , our staff will take it over from there

  • We will provide detailed instructions on how to care of your symptoms if any and our team will be in constant follow-up for the next week to check your bloodwork until you are fit for work or your flight back home.
  • You will likely need to avoid heavy lifting, strenuous activity, and sexual activity for 2-3 weeks after surgery.
  • Follow-up appoints with Dr. Surakshith Battina M.D will be scheduled to monitor your recovery and address any concerns or complications that arise
